Member of CTC for 15 years, former President, Race director of the Market Street mile race, previous and current Board member.  While President, advocated for the Women's race team and the expansion of the ROY rules to include a category for men and women older than 69 years of age.

Looking forward to establishing the former Scenic City Half Marathon race in 2026.  One of CTC’s most popular races.

Born and raised on Long Island, New York. I matriculated to Tennessee to run track/cross country for the Vols. As an All-SEC performer during my days in Knoxville, I soaked up the atmosphere and vibe in Knoxville that was consumed with all things running. I was fortunate to be a part of SEC and NCAA winning teams during my time on Rocky Top. I graduated from Tennessee with a degree in psychology. I ran professionally after I graduated and was selected to two World Championship teams. I served as a graduate assistant at Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania where I earned a master's degree in education, leadership. I have coached at every level; high school, college, professionally as well as working with recreational runners. I am currently the assistant coach with the Mocs at The University of Tennessee, Chattanooga.

I'm currently on the CTC Board and hope to continue serving. I have been running for close to 10 years and wish I had found running earlier! I came to CTC via the Saturday morning run groups and I've been a member ever since. I hope to continue serving on the board so I can be an active participant in helping CTC continue to grow and support all the runners in the Chattanooga community

I recently retired to Chattanooga from Memphis. I was a corporate events professional for FedEx and a member of the Memphis Runners Track Club.

I am a passionate runner who enjoys the camaraderie of local running events. I recently entered my first races as a Chattanooga resident: the Ft. Oglethorpe 5K and Moccasin Bend Fall Classic 5K. I am also an 18x marathoner who will run the Tokyo Marathon next March for my sixth and final Abbott World Marathon Major “star.”

I am eager to volunteer my time and talents. I recently signed up for my first race volunteer shifts: packet pickup for Chickamauga Battlefield race weekend. I have also served on numerous non-profit boards of directors, including leadership positions.

As for my talents, communications are my strength. I have graphic design experience, including design and development of websites, digital newsletters, and email communications. I also have radio and emcee experience and served as “voice of god” for numerous community events.

My first exposure to the CTC was so long ago that admittedly, I took the club for granted. My first road race was in the mid-1970's at the 10 mile Chickamauga Chase. This familiar 10 mile loop was a 'staple' for marathon training for me and countless others. With a 50+ year history, the CTC should be proud to be one of the pioneers in promoting a healthy lifestyle in our community and to be one of the premier running clubs in the southeast. To be a part of this club, with such rich heritage, that provides fun, nurtures camaraderie, hosts events, etc. is a worthwhile and gratifying pursuit.

Patrick O'Hagan (Photo: right column, top row)
Patrick O’Hagan has been a member of the Chattanooga Track Club for several years and loves the community that the group offers to all runners. He ran his first half marathon in 2017 with his wife, and has been hooked ever since. He’s completed 5 of the 6 World Majors and is slowly trying to run a marathon in every state. He joined the CTC Race Team in 2024, a long time running goal. He is also a certified run coach through RRCA. As a new resident to Chattanooga he hopes to serve the CTC by engaging with community members and bringing more people into the wonderful world of running.

Ryan Shrum (Photo: right column, middle row)
I was born in the cornfields of Indiana and was a farm boy until my family relocated to the Chattanooga area when I was twelve. I'm single and have an adult son and daughter.

Running is my passion. I've completed 111 road marathons to date. I've served as an official pacer in 67 of those marathons, including New York City six times, the Rome Marathon twice and at the 2022 London Marathon. I really enjoy giving back to the sport through pacing.

I've been a member of the Chattanooga Track Club since 2007. Some of my past and current club activities include the following:
- Two terms on the Board of Directors in the past and one term as VP of Races;
- A  member of the Races Committee since 2012;
- Race Director of the Missionary Ridge Road Race 2015-2024;
- Member of the CTC Race Team since its inception in 2013;
- Co-captain of the CTC Race Team since 2017;
- Representative of the CTC as a competitor in several USATF National Championships;
- Pace Team organizer for the Battlefield Marathon;
- CTC Runner of the Year six times.

I want to make sure that the CTC continues to flourish and would be honored to serve another term on the board next year.

Latisha Simmons (Photo: right column, bottom row)
My name is Dr. Latisha Simmons, and I am a Chattanooga native. I started running in 2015 to lose weight. I started slowly by using the Couch25K app. I eventually worked my way up to running 3 miles without stopping. My employer was a sponsor of the inaugural Chattanooga Marathon, and I ended up training and running my first half marathon in 2016. I really enjoy running and it is an important part of my life. Running provides many physical, mental and social benefits. However, as a licensed clinical social worker, I understand the importance of mental wellness and consider running a part of my personal mental health care routine.

I have run many races and am currently training for my second ultra marathon, a 51 miler. I am a previous CTC board member and secretary but had to step away for a few years while I was in graduate school to obtain my doctorate degree. Now that I have graduated and completed my doctoral studies, I am ready to return to the board and continue the great work that the CTC does in the running community and beyond!

We'll be voting on these Executive Board positions as well.
